For this project, we had to survey 80 students in Mark Keppel, 20 from each grade, their hand and foot length in centimeters. We had to collect the data and check if there was a relationship with hands and feet. So if we measure someone's hand, we might be able to accurately guess what their foot length would be. This project was meaningful because we got to apply what we learned in class on real situations. Instead of doing what we learned from data the book gives us, we were able to go out and collect real data and analyze it.
We created a children's book to help put Statistics into more simpler terms. We had to explain how to analyze graphs and compare them with others. This was meaningful to me because we spent a lot of time working on it and having fun doing it. I now know that it is a lot harder than you may think to make a children's book and put Statistics into simpler terms.
